Suzanne trained as a chiropractor at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, graduating in 1992 magna cum laude and valedictorian of her class. She integrated sports care more fully into her practice in 2001 after completing the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician program. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado – Boulder.
She ran her own chiropractic clinic in Boulder for 17 years before moving to Mexico in 2009. There, she had a clinic in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and in Santiago de Queretaro, Queretaro. The opportunity to work in another culture and language was a tremendous and expanding experience.
Suzanne has taught western science courses since 2001 at a Colorado acupuncture school, Front Range Community College and now at the Boulder Massage Therapy Institute. Her goal is to educate practitioners so that they can understand the science behind what they are seeing and touching, and can communicate well with their clients and other practitioners. With her many years as a health care provider she has a wealth of first hand experience to share about what may be seen in her students’ future work, making her classes interesting as well as informative.
